Silver Lining Foundation Inc. welcomes opportunities to receive donated real estate and property that can help advance our charitable mission of expanding housing opportunities and supporting individuals and families in the communities we serve.
A donated house, residential property, vacant lot, or other suitable real estate may provide the foundation with an opportunity to create housing, support future housing development, strengthen community initiatives, or generate resources that further our charitable purposes.
Silver Lining Foundation Inc. may consider donations of:
• Single-family homes
• Multi-family residential properties
• Vacant residential land and buildable lots
• Manufactured or modular homes with transferable ownership
• Residential buildings requiring reasonable rehabilitation

We may also consider property donated through an estate, will, trust, beneficiary arrangement, or other planned-giving structure, subject to legal and financial review.
Depending upon the property, location, condition, funding availability, restrictions, and needs of the Foundation, donated property may be:
• Used directly in furtherance of Silver Lining Foundation Inc.'s charitable housing mission;
• Rehabilitated or developed for future housing or community use;
• Held for future charitable development;
• Sold, transferred, exchanged, or otherwise disposed of, when legally permissible, with proceeds used to further the Foundation's charitable purposes; or
• Declined when acceptance would not be in the best interests of the Foundation.
Acceptance of a donation does not guarantee that a particular property will be used for housing or retained by the Foundation.
Submitting information about a property does not constitute acceptance of a donation.

The Foundation's signature acknowledges receipt of the property and does not constitute agreement with or certification of the donor's claimed value.
Silver Lining Foundation Inc. does not automatically accept responsibility for mortgages, liens, unpaid taxes, assessments, utility balances, environmental liabilities, code violations, leases, occupants, contractual obligations, or other liabilities associated with a proposed donation.
Any such obligation must be disclosed and specifically reviewed before the Foundation agrees to accept the property.

Before acceptance, a donor may be required to disclose material information concerning the property, including known defects, environmental conditions, liens, ownership interests, pending litigation, governmental notices, leases, occupants, or other conditions that could affect ownership or use of the property.
The Foundation may require supporting documentation and professional verification before accepting a gift.
