Housing and Food Stability Initiative Program Presents!
A Community Initiative of Silver Lining Foundation Inc.
Home for the Holidays is an all year round holiday season initiative of Silver Lining Foundation Inc designed to support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship throughout the year in the holiday seasons.
Through this campaign, we work to provide nutritious food, essential household and hygiene supplies, and other practical resources that help families maintain stability during a time of year when household expenses can become especially difficult.
Through donations, community partnerships, food rescue efforts, and charitable support, the campaign may provide:
Fresh produce and nutritious shelf-stable foods
Holiday food assistance
Basic household and hygiene necessities
Food-safe containers and distribution supplies
Community resource information and referrals
Other essential items based on available resources and community needs
Our startup goal is to help at least 100 individuals and families each holiday season, while reducing food insecurity, supporting household stability, and connecting community members with helpful resources. Than eventually grow the initiative to reach a larger scale of community individuals and ultimately support the housing initiative.
Home for the Holidays also supports the broader mission of Silver Lining Foundation Inc by building relationships with local businesses, donors, volunteers, and community organizations.
Whenever possible, we incorporate food rescue, reusable distribution materials, recycling, and other waste-reduction practices into our outreach efforts.
